Good night Bible verses

Night is when the day's worries line up. The Bible knows that hour: Psalm 4 ends with someone lying down and sleeping in peace because the Lord alone makes him dwell in safety; Psalm 121 says the One who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps — someone stays awake so you can rest; Proverbs promises sweet sleep. Jesus, at the end of a day of crowds, invites the weary to rest. The verses on this page are for prayer before bed, for the good-night message, for calming children and for sleepless nights. Read one quietly, with the light off, and let the last word of the day be a promise instead of a problem that you could not solve tonight anyway.

  3. When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet.
