Bible verses about peace
The peace the Bible describes is not the absence of problems; it is the presence of Someone in the middle of them. Jesus tells the disciples, "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives" — and says it on the eve of his own arrest. Paul speaks of a peace that surpasses all understanding and guards the heart; Isaiah, of a steadfast mind kept in perfect peace; Psalm 4, of lying down and sleeping in peace.
