Prayer before an exam
A short prayer for the minutes before an exam, interview or presentation: calm, memory and confidence.
Lord, the time has come. I studied what I could, and what I did not have time for I leave in your hands.
Calm my heart. Take away the lump in my throat and the trembling in my hands. Slow my breathing and clear my mind.
Bring to memory what I learned. Help me read each question carefully, not rush and not freeze. If I do not know something, let me move on without panic and come back later.
Keep me from comparing myself with the person next to me and from the fear of disappointing someone. I do this as for you, with my best, and that is enough.
Give me peace with the result, whatever it is. If I pass, thank you. If I do not, let me learn and try again. You do not love me for my grade.
Let's go together. Amen.
