Bible verses for kids
Jesus rebuked the disciples when they tried to send the children away and said the Kingdom belongs to those who are like them. The Bible asks parents to teach the commandments to their children at home, on the road, at bedtime and at rising — that is, in the middle of ordinary life, not only at church. The verses on this page were chosen for being short, concrete and easy to memorize: they fit in a song, on a poster on the bedroom wall or in a memory game at Sunday school. Some are about children; others are for children to say. A simple idea: one verse per month, repeated before bed, with a drawing made by the child. After a year that is twelve verses kept in the heart — and childhood memory is the kind that lasts longest.
